Past Announcement (27 July 2021)

Kaimyoin will be closed from 28th July onwards

Announcement on 27 July 2021:

Good evening dear believers.

Singapore reported 136 new locally transmitted COVID-19 infections as of noon on Tuesday (Jul 27), of which 55 infections were currently not linked.

The local unlinked cases are increasing daily and also there have been MOH notifications for quarantine sent to our believers.

As such, with my heavy heart, I have decided to close Kaimyoin temple from tomorrow (28 July 2021) morning gongyo onwards.

It is an extremely difficult decision for me, as my only constant concern is about the safety and well-being of all believers. I can also understand it is very difficult for believers to accept this sudden closure.

Let’s continue to pray with supreme unity for the reopening of Kaimyoin temple soonest possible when the COVID-19 situation improves.

Thank you very much for your kind understanding and cooperation.

Sincerely,
Chief Priest
Reverend Shingaku Kato

For believers who are unable to secure a seat, you are warmly encouraged to continue joining Gongyo and Shodaikai via Facebook livestream.
