Welcome to the Kaimyo-in Senior Division!
At Kaimyo-in, we believe the Senior Citizens amongst us enrich our community with their life experiences, wisdom and faith in the Gohonzon.
The senior division aims to organize activities for believers in their golden years, to encourage them to strengthen their faith and practice, participate in Kaimyo-in’s activities and to do shakubuku compassionately to repay their debt of gratitude.
We understand the golden years can bring unique challenges, which is why we've created a warm, welcoming environment where our seniors can find support, encouragement and purposeful ways to deepen their faith journeys while fostering lasting bonds.
One such example is our Senior Citizen Discussion Meeting. The full day on-site spiritual retreat offers a chance for us to practice and chant together with our Chief Priest. We also get to hear from our believers how they practice and age gracefully with joy. The breakout sessions during breaks/mealtimes also allows dedicated time to share personal experiences in smaller group settings.
Besides Buddhist activities held in the temple, we also organise social activities for our senior citizens to bond and mingle. One recent activity was a visit to a local farm, where we saw and learnt much as a group!
We welcome all seniors, whether current members or those seeking a faith home, to explore our activities. The Kaimyo-in family rejoices in learning from your life's journeys while accompanying you in your journey of faith. Together, we can grow ever closer to the Gohonzon.
